About the Shrine

One of India's Most Visited Shrines

Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Ji is located in the Trikuta Mountains in the Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir. One of the holiest Hindu shrines, it receives over 8 million pilgrims annually.

The trek from Katra to the Bhawan is approximately 12 km one way through scenic mountain terrain. Helicopter service is also available from Katra and Sanjichhat.
